Perception game notes

Peripheral Blink asks you to hold the center of the field while a brief edge flash appears on one side.

Signals tested

  • peripheral awareness
  • fixation control
  • direction memory

How scoring works

A run clears when you identify the flashed side without chasing it with central vision.

Practice note

Keep the center calm and let the edge register as a direction, not as a detailed object.

How to play

  1. Start the round and keep attention on the center.
  2. Notice the brief flash at the edge without moving attention all the way to it.
  3. Choose the side where the blink appeared.

How to read the result

A clear result means the edge signal registered while fixation stayed calm. A miss usually means the center pulled too much attention or the flash was chased too late.

Accessibility note

The challenge uses brief visual events near the edge of the play field. It can be played without audio.
