Inertia Stop: what this game measures

Inertia Stop is a motion prediction game. You press to build movement, release before the goal band, and watch the remaining glide decide how close your timing was.

Signals tested

  • release timing
  • motion extrapolation
  • consistency across five attempts

How scoring works

The score is based on angular error in degrees. A full set averages five releases so one lucky tap does not hide the shape of the run.

Practice note

Good runs usually come from releasing earlier than instinct suggests, then letting the drift carry the bead into the target.

How to play

  1. Press and hold the main control to build spin.
  2. Release before the bright gate, because the point keeps drifting after your input ends.
  3. Finish five releases to turn the run into an average set score.

How to read the result

A low degree error means your release predicted the remaining inertia well. A scattered set usually means the release point moved around from attempt to attempt, even if one attempt was close.

Accessibility note

The game is playable without sound. Motion is central to the challenge, but the target, attempt count, and result copy remain visible as text.
